Were Russell's Associates Who Went To Prison Considered Faithful To The End
by minimus inthe watchtower regularly states that russell and his associates were truth seekers and that god considered them faithful watchmen, anxious to see the fulfillment of bible prophecies in the time of the end......my question is----did these folks (according to watchtower requirements) remain "faithful" or did they deviate from the "truth"?
if a number did not remain faithful, wouldn't this obviously show that the watchtower was once again purposely misleading people into believing that russell's group was used by jehovah to enlighten his people???

Robison was a very interesting character. Although he was called "Professor Robison" in some WT publications while he was in their good graces, it is absolutley impossible to prove that he had more than two years education in a technical school, and the companies for whom he is claimed to have worked after he left the WTB&TS have no records of him. His wife, Almeta Nation Robison, was a signatory on Pastor Russell's will, and was said to have been one of the bethel osteopaths, yet no proof of that remains today either. While Prof. Robison's headstone still stands today, no trace of Almeta's can be found. It is unlikely that she is in the anonymous WT plot on Staten Island, since her husband pre-deceased her by many years and they had both left Bethel when Prof. Robison joined up with the Universalists.
People who associate wwith the Watchtower just evaporate, given enough time.

Why do the JWs have secret law codes when the "world's" laws are public?
by easyreader1970 ini've glanced over the new book.
i won't comment on the rules and regulations themselves because they read as though they were drafted by lab reject monkeys.. my issue is: why the secrecy?
if these are laws and rules that all jws must abide by to remain in good standing, why can't they have access to them?

Will there be "Secret Laws" in Paradise?
Will they be called the Sharia?

Nathan Natas - regularly exceeding expectations!
by Nathan Natas inone secret to success is to follow the example set by previous successful people.
in neuro-linguistic programming this is called "modelling behavior.".
minimus has show himself to be a person of spectacular, virtual "overnight" success, but we all know this is a result of rigorous daily effort and a pathologically high level of self-esteem.. i crave the same rewards - sex, drugs, rock n' roll - that minimus has enjoyed, and to obtain them i am willing to cast off my previously humble reserved nature and indulge in blatant self-aggrandizement.

WOW, you guys really took me by surprise!
I had started this thread as a goof on Minimus' similar thread, thinking that MAYBE if I got any replies, they would also be a bit goofy. Never did I expect such an outpouring of camaraderie and kind words.
Lady Lee, Satanus, Wannaexit, Nickolas, Zoiks, Moshe, Terry, Clarity, VampireDCLXV, Gregor, Scully, Leolaia, Outlaw, Snowbird, Farkel, Minimus, and TD, thank you all so very much. I am proud to be in your company.

Cyberjesus, I don't make excuses for criminals. Everyone has hardship in thier live, yet not all become criminals.
It is a choice to perpetuate the injury. Period period period no excuses exclaimation point.

I'm with Farkel on this. In my opinion, Ray Franz was being unneccessarily kind to the people who run the WTB&TS.
A victim is a person who has been deceived or made to suffer injury, loss or death. The person who causes deception, injury, loss or death is properly called either a criminal or a culprit or, as has already been pointed out, a perpetrator. There is still a schizm today among the ranks of XJWs over whether Ray Franz was "soft" on the pedophile issue. He claimed that in all his years of Watchtower service, at all the levels within the organization in which he served, he had NEVER heard of a case of pedophilia. Personally, since I knew of a pedophile in my home congregation when I was merely a ministerial servant (the 1970's), I find Ray's claim strains credibility. We know that Mark Palo was abused by the criminal Bethelite Leo Greenlees in the early 1960s. Mark wasn't Greenlees' only victim, and Greenlees was forced to leave Bethel. Recalling all the Bible stories I was taught about the "mighty men of old" who stood up for righteousness, I can recall NONE who were so delicate, fragile, prim and proper that they were unable to even discuss evil, as though they were someone's ninety-year-old spinster aunt. ...and yet that is precisely what some of these guys want to be seen as. I don't buy it. When a victim violate someone else, he becomes a criminal. Period. And Satanus makes a good point: Ray Franz did not leave the WTB&TS voluntarily, he was forced out.
